Some of my favorite products to help you save energy, time, and better manage your symptoms
Happy Prime Day!
I am typically not one who believes that buying something will be the magic fix for the complexities of living with chronic illness, AND yet, I often recommend products to my clients that will make their lives and health management easier.
If you are living with an energy limiting condition like POTS, EDS, MCAS, ME/CFS, Long Covid, identifying ways to simplify your everyday activities through gadgets (aka adaptive equipment) and other tools can be a game changer.

MY TOP 10 FAVORITE AMAZON PRIME DAY FINDS
Neck Fan - Has the heat been causing your body to go haywire lately?? IYKYK… I am a huge advocate for proactive cooling strategies and love when they can be easily incorporated into an activity where you are moving around. Neck fans can be so helpful for this! Slip it on when you’re doing activities around the house, walking outside, shopping, going to a summer event, and notice the difference in how your body feels.
Loop earplugs - “Engage Plus” - If you feel overwhelmed and stressed out in noisy environments or have difficulties processing auditory information, these earplugs are a must have! I have seen them make a HUGE difference for people’s ability to remain present and regulated in social settings. What I love about Loop earplugs is that they are very discreet and, at this setting, they allow you to have conversations while filtering out background noise. Perfect for parenting, going to restaurants, navigating airports, and more.
Hexagon Timer - This is an essential activity pacing and time management must have! An easy to use timer that has preset timers for 5, 10, 25, 30, 50, and 60 minutes, so you can just flip it onto a side and go about your activity.
3-Tiered Rolling Cart - This utility cart can be huge energy saver for transporting commonly used items. It would be awesome to use as a symptom management cart or to hold “flare tool kit” supplies. In the kitchen, it can be a great place to keep most commonly used appliances, ingredients (oils, spices), and even dishes/cutlery
Mandolin Vegetable slicer and chopper - Is meal preparation completely wiping you out or worsening your pain? Finding ways to simplify and reduce energy for chopping vegetables in particular can really help! I love that this mandolin is safe to use, has different settings for slicing and dicing, and is relatively easy to clean.
Instant Pot Duo - One pot meals that basically cook themselves are a win if you are managing chronic pain or fatigue. Instant Pot’s are also a great option for those with histamine intolerance or MCAS because the pressure cooking function prevents lots of histamine from accumulating during the cooking process.
Collapsible stool - If you have POTS, it’s helpful to have a seat available anywhere you go. Being on your feet for prolonged periods of time can cause blood pooling in your legs and worsen symptoms like dizziness, lightheadedness, fatigue, and brain fog. I love how this stool is easy to carry and height adjustable. No more stressing about if somewhere will have enough seating, you’ll have your own!
Long-handled reacher - Reduce the need to bend down for items around the house - perfect for picking up kids or dog toys, clothes, mail, jars off a high shelf - so many things. I love that this one has magnets on the end too - great for picking up keys!
Vitassium Electrolyte Capsules - If you have POTS, your doctor has probably recommended you significantly increase sodium and electrolytes. For many of my clients, taking electrolyte capsules throughout the day and having them on hand can be a huge help for symptom management.
Compression gear (abdominal binder and fingerless compression gloves) - Compression is your friend if you have POTS and/or EDS! Lower body and abdominal compression in particular can support the blood in more easily returning to your heart and reduce POTS symptoms. Compression gloves are a great tool to reduce hand pain by supporting hand and finger joints and improving circulation.
I hope these recommendations support you to better manage your symptoms and save your spoons so that you can do more of what matters to you. I’d love to hear from you! Shoot me a message and let me know if there are any gadgets and tools that are really supporting you right now. Also, check out my website where I will be continually creating and updating free resources to support you.
