Welcome, welcome! The Living Aligned newsletter seeks to explore the science, soul, and practice of wellbeing and celebrate our human ability to grow and adapt.
My writing is a mix of journal-style musings on my own healing journey and its intersection with my clinical practice and practical strategies to improve health and well-being. Rather than offering sterile “tips and tricks,” I hope to invite you into my world and offer little bits of my own mind, heart, and soul.
My interests are numerous and varied, and at the moment I am thinking and writing about occupational therapy in everyday life, polyvagal theory, trauma and resiliency, yoga and meditation, surf therapy, and healing power of nature.
Why did I start this?
This newsletter was born while traveling in Central America after I finished my Doctorate in Occupational Therapy at USC. I was having so many new experiences, reading a ton, filling up journals at a rapid rate, and was desperate to share my ideas with someone other than my (amazing!) partner. For me, writing has always been the way that I have processed what I am learning and what is going on in my life. This newsletter is born out of my desire to share my personal journey and my professional expertise with a larger audience.
I hope this newsletter inspires you, feeds you delicious food for thought, and invites you into a deeper relationship with yourself, others, and the natural world.
